Maple Seed Protein Porridge

What you need

  • 1/4 cup raw sunflower seeds
  • 2 tbsp golden flax seeds
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 2 scoops your favorite protein powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1/2 cup fresh blueberries
  • 2 tbsp pure maple syrup

How to make it

  1. Quickly pulse the sunflower and flax seeds in a blender or clean coffee grinder until they are coarse crumbs.
  2. Move the seed crumbs to a small pot. Add oats, protein powder, and cinnamon, then stir everything together.
  3. Pour in the almond milk and one cup of water. Heat over medium‑high, stirring often, until the mix starts to boil.
  4. Turn the heat down low and keep stirring until the porridge thickens, about five minutes. Add a little more water if you like it thinner.
  5. Split the hot porridge into two bowls. Top each bowl with blueberries and a drizzle of maple syrup.
