Spiced Apple Chips
What You Need
- 3 medium honeycrisp apples, cored and sliced thin (about the thickness of a quarter)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- ¼ tsp ground cardamom
How to Make Them
- Heat the oven to 200°F (93°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Put the apple slices in a large bowl. Sprinkle the spices over them.
- Use your hands to toss the slices until every piece is coated with spice.
- Spread the slices in a single layer on the prepared sheets.
- Bake for 1½ hours. Then flip each slice and bake for another 30 minutes to 1 hour, until they feel crisp.
- Turn the oven off and let the chips cool inside the oven.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
